Yosemite... Final part.

I just came back from Yosemite, where I had a blast week! I will put three entries about the trip. Each one will include different aspects of the park, trails, animals and lots of pics of course! This is the third and last one!

Acabe de llegar de Yosemite, donde pasé una brutalidad de semana! Voy a poner tres entradas acerca del viaje. Cada una con diferentes aspectos de el parque, recorridos, animales y muchas fotos claro esta! Esta es la tercera y última!

Back-country camping: On Saturday, I decided to camp in the backcountry for the night, so I asked for a permit and packed all my stuff. Just when I started to walk, I met 2 guys from Berkeley (Close to SF). They were planning to camp up there as well as me. We became good camping buddies. Their equipment was unbelievable! We had good chats and a cozy campfire at night. On Sunday I climbed Half Dome with those guys.

Camping en la Naturaleza: El Sábado, decidí ir a acampar en la naturaleza por una noche, así que pedí un permiso y empaque mis cosas. Justo cuando empecé a caminar, conocí a 2 pelados de Berkeley (Cerca de SF. Ellos estaban planeando acampar allá arriba así como yo. Nos volvimos buenos compañeros de camping. El equipo de ellos era brutal! Tuvimos buenas charlas y una confortable fogata en la noche. El domingo escalé el Half Dome con ellos.

Half Dome Climbing:On Sunday, accompanied with Peter and Phil (The guys from the camping) we went to try to climb the Half Dome with the cables down (Usually there is cables and stairs for 600 people that go there every day in summer... 16 people a year died during the hike)… Hopefully for the good hikers we are, we reached the summit by 11 o’clock. Beautiful and peaceful place up there. We were only the three of us and a few Marmots. I peed in the top of the Half Dome by the way.

Escalada al Half Dome: El Domingo, acompañado de Peter y Phil (Los del campamento) fuimos a intentar escalar el Half Dome con los cables abajo (Usualmente hay cables y escaleras para 600 personas al día que van allá en verano... 16 mueren cada año durante la escalada)... Por suerte para nosotros buenos escaladores, llegamos a la cima a las 11 en punto. Bellísimo y pacifico lugar allá arriba. Eramos los únicos en la cima, junto con una cuantas Marmotas. Por cierto, oriné en la cima del Half Dome!

Curious and sad Fact: Mark, one if the Camp 4 climbers was telling me something that impacted me really much... He said "There is just one Grizzly bear in California. The rest of them were hunted by lots of son of a Bi%$#"... I said "well, at least there is one right? Where is it though?... He said "In the California flag".

Dato curioso y triste: Mark, unos de los escaladores del Camp 4 me estaba contando algo que me impacto bastante... El dijo "Solo hay un oso Grizzly en California. El resto de ellos fueron cazados por un mundo de hijos de Pu$&#" ... Yo dije "Bueno, por lo menos hay una no? Donde esta?... El dijo "En la bandera de California".

Way back: Phil and Peter, the guys from Berkeley offered me to come back with them, obviously, I said yes! I spent 2 really nice days with you guys. Thanks for the Ride and the Pizza!

El viaje de venida: Phil y Peter, los de Berkeley me ofrecieron venirme con ellos, obviamente, dije que si! Pasé unos buenos 2 días con ellos. Gracias por la Pizza y el viaje!

Experience: Apart of the tourist and cars on the valley, the experience was breathtaking, amazing and hard walks, great and wide views, good vibe and cool people, cold and energetic swim in snow melt river, lots of animal encounters and last but not least... Mother Nature.

Experiencia: A parte de los turistas y los carros en el Valle, la experiencia fue impresionante. Maravillosas y duras caminatas, bonitas y grandes vistas, buena onda y personas bacanas, fría y energética nadada en un rió de agua nieve, muchos encuentros animales y por ultimo pero no menos importante... Madre naturaleza.
