Shopping (Second hand Style)

First of all, I want to explain why I haven't been posting constantly the blog. It is not because I'm leaving this project away, it is because the things I've been doing don't fit in the blog, sort of. How ever, those things that fit on the blog will be on the blog.

Primero que todo, quiero explicar porque no he puesto cosas constantemente en el blog. No es porque he dejado este proyecto a un lado, es porque las cosas que he hecho no encajan en el blog, algo así. Sin embargo, aqui están algunas cosas que si encajan en el blog.

I was kind of a shopping kid, maybe every kid has that when they are young... But now, the shopping and the commerce is not a important thing in my life. First, the culture of buying, at least in the US is based these few simple and awful quotes... "Just in case", "You never know", "it is on sale", "why not" that translate to something like "people buy things because they wanted more than they need it or buy it because they are afraid of not have it by the time a tsunami is coming (even if they live up in the mountains)". The problem of that lies in the resources we have and affects our precious planet earth. In order to improve this system I've been spending my money in second handed clothes (some time 3rd handed clothes). Accompanied with Claire, Nate and Abby, I've been visiting and buying things in GoodWill and GoodWill Outlets (The Bins). The first one is a second handed store with nice things, the second one is a huge garage with a bunch of bins with clothes in them, what GoodWill doesn't want goes to the Bins. It is a crazy place. I felt grose and dirty afterwords... It is been nice to buy one those places, the carbon print is lower and it is fun!

Yo era como un pelado que le gustaba comprar, tal vez todo niño tiene eso cuando son pequeños... Pero ahora, la compra y el comercio no son cosas importantes en mi vida. Primero, la cultura de comprar, al menos en USA esta basada estas simples y atroces frases... "Por si acaso", "uno nunca sabe", "esta en rebaja", "Porque no?" eso traduce a algo como "las personas compran cosas porque las quieren mas que porque la necesitan o compran cosas en caso de que un tsunami esta por llegar (incluso si viven en las montañas). El problema recae en los recursos que tenemos y en el preciado planeta tierra. Para mejorar este sistema he estado gastando parte de mi dinero en ropa de segunda (Algunas de tercera mano). Acompañado de Claire, Nate y Abby he estado visitando y comprando cosas en GoodWill y GoodWill Outlets (Los contenedores). La primera es una tienda de segunda mano con cosas muy bacanas, la segunda es un garaje muy grande con muchos contenedores con ropa, lo que GoodWill no quiere va a los contenedores. Es un lugar loquisimo, me sentí sucio después de ir... Ha sido bacano comprar en esos lugares, la huella de carbono es mas baja y es divertido!

(I started my trip with 4 shirts, 2 Jeans and 2 jackets... 60 dolars later and this is what I've got!)

(Empecé mi viaje con 4 camisetas, 2 Jeans y 2 chaquetas... 60 dolares mas tarde y esto es lo que tengo!)
