This is getting to an end...

Esto esta llegando a su final...

It was October 15th, Wednesday.My time both in Mexico and in my whole trip was getting to an end. I rest that day and took a walk in the neighbourhood. I was thinking about my next step but I realized that there wasn't too much I can do by that time. My ticket back home was already purchased, the coming back was inevitable. I was ready to enjoy my last 5 days left, pack everything and came back to "normal life". We decided that night to go the next day to the Market of Coyoacán. A wonderful, colourful and huge local market where you can find from nuts, fruits and Mexican candies to fried grasshopper (really). One of the best places in town to get soaked with the culture, the people and mood of the capital and the whole country... I was looking for chiles, Moles which a powder mix of Chocolate and lots of nuts from the Mayans and Aztecan and some curiosity object to bring back home. I found everything and everything came with me. Usually in the airports the homeland security take all the organic objects, I was glad they didn't... My brother in the other hand was looking for books, puzzles and traditional Mexican games, he found everything but he bought a Puzzle of 1500 pieces that is driving us crazy! I had tons of fun with my family and I think the did too. That night another plane came out. This time it was all about roller coasters. Next morning we went to Six Flags Mexico. Great amusement park! ....

I travelled through all North America (Canada, US, Mexico) and I was expecting to find a huge different between US/Canada with Mexico. Difference I hardly saw. The people and the culture is still something that is not going to change, at least not soon, but the policies and the way of living of too many people is highly american. Go to work 50+ hours a week in a car and then back home and go to shopping to most likely Wallmart, Costco or Best Buy. I'm not saying that is a bad thing but it is not the Latin American way of doing things. How ever, the culture and the people are still there Living México. The tortillas still being "The Elemental Food" for the majority and the happiness of the community dancing and enjoying a good party every holiday like all of them were a big family (maybe they are) is something that is worth to keep.

I left Mexico with an unknown flavour in my mouth, I mean, in a big picture I already know what is going on there, I enjoyed those wonderful Caribbean beaches, I climbed those tall and timeless Mayan pyramids and I also lived the western film Mexico side but there is still a lot to see, photograph and get to know.

Era Octubre 15, Miércoles. Mi estadía en México y mi tiempo de viaje se estaba acercando a un final. Descansé todo el día y di una caminata por el vecindario. Estaba pensando en que hacer en mi próximo paso pero me di cuenta que no había mucho para hacer en ese momento. Mi tiquete para volver a casa estaba comprado, venirme era inevitable. Estaba listo para disfrutar 5 días mas, empacar todo y volver a la "Vida Real". Esa noche decidimos ir el próximo día al Marcado de Coyoacán. Un Mercado grandisimo y colorido en donde uno puede encontrar desde nueces, frutas y golosinas mexicanas hasta saltamontes fritos (Realmente). Uno de los mejores sitios en la ciudad para empaparse de la cultura, las personas y el ambiente de la capital y de todo el país... Yo estaba buscando chiles, Mole que es un polvo con Chocolate y muchos tipos de nueces de de los Mayas y aztecas y alguna curiosidad para traer a casa. Encontré todo y todo vino conmigo. Usualmente en los aeropuertos la aduana quita todo lo orgánico, si quiera que no lo hicieron esta vez... Mi hermano por otra parte, estaba buscando libros, rompecabezas y juegos tradicionales Mexicanos, encontró todo pero compró un rompecabezas de 1500 fichas que nos esta matando! La pasé muy bien y espero que mi familia también. Esa noche, otro plan se puso en la mesa. Esta vez era acerca de Montañas rusas. El día siguiente fuimos a Six Flags México. Un Parque de diversiones brutal!

Yo viajé por todo Norteamerica (Canadá, Estados Unidos y México) y estaba esperando encontrar una gran diferencia entre USA/Canadá con México. No vi casi diferencia. Puede que la gente y la cultura no vayan a cambiar prontamente pero las políticas y el modo de vivir de muchas personas es altamente americanizado. Ir a trabajar por mas de 50 horas por semana en carro y luego volver a casa para ir a comprar cosas en Walmart, Costco o Best Buy. No estoy diciendo que este mal, pero no es el estilo de como se hacen las cosas en Latinoamerica. Sin embargo, la cultura y las personas siguen allí Viviendo México. Las tortillas siguen siendo "La Comida Elemental" para la mayoría y la felicidad de la comunidad bailando y disfrutando un festivo como si fueran una gran familia (realmente lo son) es algo que vale la pena conservar.

Salí de México con un sabor desconocido en mi boca, quiero decir que en el plano general se lo que esta pasando. Disfruté de las maravillosas playas del Caribe, Escalé las eternas ruinas Mayas y pasé un fin de semana en el Viejo Oeste México pero aún así hay mucho mas que ver, fotografiar y vivir.
