Through an Adventure: Cobá, Como Indiana Jones.

Once I finished with the hot and humid of Tulum, I packed my things and took a small and crowded bus to Cobá, a complex of Ruins in the countryside. Cobá was found only a couple of decades ago and it was open to the public in 2001. Cobá is wild and wonderful. I felt like Indiana Jones from The Lost Ark Movie (Just the first part though). Cobá is also the biggest pyramid and the tallest geographic point in the North of the Peninsula. I stayed in Cobá the whole morning and a little bit of the afternoon. Then, I shared a taxi to Valladolid with a couple of Germans... In the town of Cobá and a few other around that area, the community speak Maya and live their lives with still some rituals and things from the ancient civilisation... The towns in almost all the peninsula get their money by the tourism, but, there is not tourism all year around, the towns are not so wealthy. In one of the hostels I stayed in, they told me that the high season is so good but the low season is so bad. They will have to sell it out... pretty sad.

Una vez terminé con el caliente y húmedo Tulum, empaqué mis cosas y tomé bus pequeñito y lleno de gente para Cobá, un complejo de ruinas al interior del país. Cobá fue encontrada solo un par de décadas atrás y fue abierto al publico en 2001. Cobá es salvaje! Me sentí como en Indiana Jones en El Arca Perdida (Al menos en la primera parte). Cobá es además la pirámide mas grande y el punto mas alto del norte de la península Me quedé en Cobá toda la mañana y una parte de la tarde. Luego, compartí un Taxi hacia Valladolid con una pareja de Alemanes... En el Pueblo de Cobá y en algunos otros en el área, la comunidad habla Maya y viven sus vidas con algunas cosas y rituales de la antigua civilización .. Los pueblos en casi toda la península obtienen su dinero desde el turismo, pero, no hay turismo todo el año. Los pueblo no tienen mucho dinero. En uno de los hostales en los que me quedé me dijeron que en la temporada alta es muy buena, pero en la baja muy mala. Van a tener que venderlo... bastante triste.
