Through an Adventure: Las Cositas de Tulum.

Estaba en la playa mirando a las maravillosas Ruinas Mayas cercanas a la orilla. Me sentí emocionado y triste... Cogí un Bus desde Cancún el 1ro de Octubre con Taylor. Lisa me presento a Tylor, un man muy bacan que trabaja en el Cenote 2 Ojos como Fotógrafo... Cuando llegue a Tulum, busqué por el Hostal Los Mapaches, un hostal administrado por una familia de locales. Bueno, Bonito y Barato! Esa fue además la primera vez que pago por hospedaje en mas o menos 9 meses! Luego de llegar, fui inmediatamente a las Ruinas pero estaban cerradas, en cambio, fui a la playa a relajarme un rato. Al otro día, a primera hora de la mañana, fui al Cenote 2 Ojos. Un Cenote es una falla Geológica que involucra lagos y ríos subterráneos, el resultado, un lago circular en una cueva abierta. Me encontré con Taylor allá y nadamos un rato. Tambien encontramos una serpiente cuatro narices! ... Cogí un Ride desde allá hasta el Hostal y fui a las Ruinas mayas de una vez por todas. Las Ruinas de Tulum hacen parte de una de las ultimas edificaciones construidas, lo mas seguro entre el siglo XIII ó XIV, por eso es que el estilo es un poco diferente en comparacion con otros sitios arqueológicos. Los Mayas tenían un muy buen parche para pasar el rato y hacer sus cosas sagradas, hasta que, claro esta, la llegada de los españoles... La pasé muy bien en Tulum, un pueblo bonito y seguro, fácil de recorrer en cicla.

I was in the Beach looking at some wonderful Maya Ruins really close to the shore. I felt both amazed and sad... I took a bus from Cancún the 1st of October with Taylor. Lisa introduced me to Taylor, a cool guy who work in Cenote 2 Ojos as a Fotographer... When I arrived to Tulum I look for Hostel Los Mapaches, a family own hostel with a wonderful staff, and a delicious breakfast (included in the price!). That was also the first time in about 9 months that I pay for lodging! The same day of my arriving in Tulum I went to the Ruins but they where close, instead, I went to the beach and chill for a while. The next day, first thing in the morning, I went to Cenote Dos Ojos. A Cenote is a Geological failure between underground rivers and lagoons, the result is a fresh water rounded lake in an open cave. I met up with Taylor there and we swam for a bit in the Cenote. We also found a 4 nose snake! ... I hitchhike from there to the Hostel and I went to the Maya Ruins once and for all... The Tulum Ruins belong to one of the last Mayas edification. The Ruins where built most likely in the XIII or the XIV century, that's why the architectural style is slightly different from other Ruins. The Mayas had a really good place to chill and made their own sacred and holly things, until, of course, the Spanish Arrival... I had a great and relaxed time in Tulum, beautiful and safe town and easy to get around in a bike.
