Portland, Where Modernity, Tradition and Nature meet.

I've been staying in Portland for 3 days, walking through Downtown and lots of neighborhoods and I have not ceased  to be amazed. Portland is one of those cities that has really special people living in it... The streets are full of cyclists (They are more important than cars!), transportation is clean and green (People asked for that!) and everyone is incredibly nice with you (Starting with Jeff!)... When I say nice it's like someone invites you to their house to take a look at a map an then explains to you how to go to a place, isn't that friendly? ... Also, Portland is one of those cities where modern skyscrapers, fancy cars and high-tech transportation system meet old buildings, antique churches and lots of red-stone plazas. Where also all those thing I just listed are crossed with parks and nature. Here in the metropolitan area of Portland there are 127 urban parks (The city with most urban parks in US), each one with its own touch and mood. Until now, one of the greatest cities I've ever been to!

He estado 3 días en Portland, caminando a través de el centro y muchos vecindarios y no he dejado de sorprenderme. Portland es una de esas ciudades que tiene gente muy especial viviendo en ella... Las calles están llenas de ciclistas (Ellos son mas importantes que los carros), el transporte es limpio y verde (Las personas lo pidieron!) y todo el mundo es amable con uno (Empezando por Jeff), Cuando digo amable es como que alguien en la calle te invite a su casa para mirar un mapa y explicarte como llegar a algún sitio, no es eso ser querido? ... Además, Portland es una de esas ciudades donde modernos rascacielos, lujosos carros y transporte de alta tecnología se encuentran con edificios viejos, iglesias antiguas y muchas plazas de piedra. Donde además, todas esas cosas que mencione se mezclan con parques y naturaleza. Aquí, en el área Metropolitana hay mas de 127 parques urbanos (La ciudad con mas parques en USA), cada uno de ellos con un buen toque y ambiente. Hasta ahora, una de las ciudades mas agradables en las que he estado.

(Powell's is a huge library located in the pearl district. It is almost one block big and it has 2 floors and thousands of books of every topic you like... I spent almost 3 hours looking around in there)

(Powell's es una gran libreria ubicada en el Pearl District. Es casi una cuadra de grande, tiene dos pisos y miles del libros de el tema que uno quiera... Pasé casi 3 horas viendo cosas ahi)

(Right on the middle of Downtown I found an old men and a young boy playing big chess. There was a lot of audience and the game was interesting too)

(Justo en la mitad de el Centro encontré a un viejo y un pelao jugando gran ajedrez. Había mucha audiencia y el juego estaba bastante interesante)

(I will see a lot of those street signs in my trip... nice to know that the Great Wall of China is just about 5.510 Miles (8868 Km) from that point!)

(Voy a ver muchas de estos avisos en mi viaje... Bueno saber que la Gran Muralla China esta a solo 8868 Km desde ese punto)
